Delivery/Collections Driver – Cardiff

To collect, deliver and install equipment designed to assist with a disability to/from resident’s homes and various other locations throughout the City of Cardiff

37 hours per week.

£9.50 – £10.39 per hour.

Roles and Responsibilities:

A temporary position has arisen for a fixed 3 month term for a Delivery/Collections Driver working for the Joint Equipment Service. The service operates out of two distribution sites and this position will operate from the site on Penarth Road.

The service delivers and installs a wide range of specialist equipment to disabled residents throughout Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

The position will be responsible for the collection, delivery and installation (where required) of equipment designed to assist people with disabilities in their own homes. Bulkier items (e.g. profiling beds, hoists etc) would require the post holder to work as a member of a two person team.

All requests for delivery/installation are instigated by a clinical team member after an assessment of the clients needs, an order for delivery is then processed by the JES admin team and collected, delivered, installed by an in-house team of which this post would form a part.
