Interim SEND Admin
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Interim SEND Admin to work in Slough within the SEND service. The postholder will with a partner officer to primarily to manage the SEND Service’s “Front Door”. This involved dealing with phone calls and emails coming into the service’s central inbox / phone. There will be a short period of handover with a current officer who is about to take a step up in their SEND career.
This role is a good opportunity for somebody with the motivation and qualities to get into the world of Education, Health and Care Planning. Candidates will need to be able to come to the office in Slough all week at least during the short handover period, and to be able to start with us in the coming days. There may be possibility to do one or two days a week from home once settled in.
A knowledge of working with EHCP’s would be helpful, as would any experience of supporting around SEND. Essential however in this busy yet rewarding environment are qualities of :
– willingness and drive to learn from peers and supervisors
– good self-organisation and prioritisation of work under guidance of more experienced peers and supervisors
– ability to deal appropriately with people when they are feeling high degrees of anxiety and distress, and help to find suitable pathways forward in relation to their concerns
