Engineering Project Manager – Band J Contract

£40/Hour

This position will require you to attend the office at least once a week.
This is a 3-Month rolling contract.

Responsibilities:

• planning and designing the project and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
• defining the project’s governance arrangements
• regular reporting and progress updates to programme manager
• ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the project
• managing the project’s budget, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the project progresses
• facilitating the appointment of individuals to project teams
• managing third party contributions to the project
• be able to negotiate and liaise with external consultants/detailed designers and suppliers to ensure best value and delivery
• managing communications with all stakeholders
• managing both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects
• managing risks to the project’s successful outcome
• initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the project are identified or issues arise
• reporting the progress of the project at regular intervals

Qualifications:

• Diploma/NVQ/Degree civil engineering or planning
