Novax Recruitment is actively seeking an Accountancy Officer based in Worcester. This is a temporary position working full time hours.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Principal Accountant / Auditor and senior management within finance in providing a full and quality financial management service.
• Completing detailed financial analysis and undertaking corporate financial functions as directed by the Principal Accountant or other senior manager within finance
• Carrying out compliance and assurance audits to provide an assessment of organisational and risk management
• Providing detailed financial advice and support to Budget holders and senior managers on all aspects of financial management

Skills and qualifications required:

• Qualifications in AAT or CIPFA.
• Experience of managing a substantial amount of finances, people and other resources
• Knowledge of Finance and Risk Management in an operational environment
• Good working knowledge of HR, Finance, Procurement, IT, Information Governance and Facilities polices and processes and sources of information used in updating and developing such polices.
• Strong IT skills in finance systems and Excel
