We are working with a fantastic civil engineering company who are looking to expand their commercial team.

Purpose of Role

• Work collaboratively within the Estimating Team to win turnover to meet annual business targets.
• Management of Estimating requirements as necessary to meet annual acquisition turnover targets. Including Tender review and evaluation
• Site visit and value engineering & alternative identification
• Tender completion – pricing and quality
• Tender settlement and submission in line with Ops Bid Manager and company strategy.
• Client Management & relationship development
• Liaise with expertise and experience around the business.

Requirements

• HNC or above in Construction/ Civil Engineering Industry related subject
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programmes(Excel/Powerpoint/Word/Project/outlook)
• Basic understanding of current contracts (i.e NEC3/4, JCT etc.) used within the construction and civil engineering industry.
• Experience in Site Management/Project Management/Commercial Manager/Estimator level or higher including costing and programming of works.
• Knowledge and experience of operational civil engineering/construction projects or of estimating/commercial management of civil engineering/construction projects
• Environmental Legislation including licencing, permitting and consents required for works around tidal waters and inland waterways.
