An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Temporary Works Engineer to join our client’s technical team and progress in the department throughout the company’s ongoing expansion.

They are looking for an Graduate designer with experience in CAD design for construction, civils and infrastructure projects, overseeing designs from concept to completion, finding sustainable solutions while pushing the boundaries of design.

You will be responsible for supporting the project team as a technical lead, finding design solutions for a diverse range of projects.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Management of projects with regard to technical, commercial and safety aspects
• Marketing internally and externally and securing future workload
• Carry out all work so as to take into account own safety and the safety of others
• Scheming designs using skills to produce cost effective designs
• Checking and reviewing designs of others
• Carrying out designs in all materials
• Communicating with sites and internally
• Assisting Directors in their roles during periods of Director absence
• Act as Lead designer/ Task Team manager/ Interface manager and undertake the associated responsibilities as described where these roles have been assigned on a project.

The Person:

The right person for this role will be a highly motivated temporary works engineer with a keen interest in all relevant engineering disciplines and have an appreciation of architecture as well as Temporary works. Have knowledge of working methods and the application of engineering codes and standards.

Qualifications/accreditations:

• BSc, BEng or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered or looking to go through the process of gaining membership of relevant professional body, usually ICE, IStructE, etc
