We are working with our client to find an experienced Quantity Surveyor who has experience and in depth of knowledge of Steelwork.

Responsibilities:

To carry out all financial control of contracts through from tendering, contract formation, valuation during the project, control and pricing of variations, applications for payment, obtaining payment and Final accounts.

In addition, you would be required to carry out a Commercial Management Role ensuring profitability of contracts and other financial matters within the company the candidate would report to the Directors.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Structural Steel.
• Technically capable with a good understanding of technical drawings and construction terminologies.
• Good experience in quantity surveying and have a qualification in this discipline (i.e. degree, HNC/D or similar).
• Experience and knowledge of various contracts including JCT, NEC and bespoke contracts.
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines.
• Commercially astute and highly numerate with well-developed influencing and negotiation techniques.

• A good working knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to learn the use of specialist software
