MEP Quantity Surveyor Permanent

AN exciting opportunity for an Associate MEP Quantity Surveyor to help build and develop our MEP Quantity Surveyor team in our vibrant central London office.

Projects include large industrial and commercial schemes with contract values over £30 million to smaller schemes and working in interesting sectors including; healthcare, insurance, government sites, etc.

Location: London.
Salary c£60,000 – £72,000 p/a neg +Bens

This role will suit someone who is looking to develop their career and eventually, become the Partner for the MEP Quantity Surveyor discipline.

Responsibilities:
Manage existing clients and develop further opportunities.
Educate and develop junior staff on processes and procedures on quantity surveying, cost estimating, contract negotiation and reporting.
Look to grow the group on the back of new and repeat clients.
Advise on services costs involved in building projects.
Manage estimating and cost planning activities, including ownership and presentation of the final cost plan throughout the design phase and delivering updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones.
Evaluation of costs and advise on alternative proposals.
Undertake negotiations with mechanical & electrical subcontractors on behalf of the client to drive fair contract prices.
Advice on contract arrangements and conditions.
Undertaking pre and post contract work.
Lead cost meetings to review change order statuses with the contractors and client representatives.
Advise clients on cost impact of alternative designs for mechanical and electrical systems.

Ideally BSc in QS.
Clean UK driving licence.
Strong communication skills and being able to communicate and negotiate with clients on a professional level.
Ideally MRICS Chartership.
Commercially minded with a Passion for winning work and business development.
Able to manage your own workload.
Managing individual team members, organising their work where necessary and providing guidance on projects.
Good communication and client facing skills.
