Structural Engineer Permanent

If you are a Structural Engineer with experience of defect diagnosis and structural investigations, we have an opportunity to join our experienced team.

Your role will involve carrying out site inspections, preparing reports and schedules of remedial works.

These inspections will be on a variety of properties across sectors, with the majority being to residential properties. Other sectors will include healthcare and education.

Role and Responsibilities

Carrying out structural surveys of buildings and structures and providing advice on any issues that may arise.
Site visits to assess suitability for alterations and produce design drawings.
Prepare reports on observations, findings and recommendations.
Prepare schedule of remedial works.
Oversee the production of design drawings and preparing specifications for tender purposes.
Analyse and report on structural defects and remediation if required.
Visiting sites during the Construction phase to monitor progress and provide advice to Contractors.

Experience and Skills Required
MIStructE/MICE Chartered membership. (Ideally)
Excellent communication skills, in both written and spoken English.
Structural design experience in core materials: concrete, steel, masonry and timber.
