Role: Buyer/Purchasing Officer

Salary: €50,000 – €55,000

Office based

We have an exciting opportunity to join our client as a Buyer/Purchasing Officer. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience within the construction industry.

Skills/Requirements

• Negotiation skills: ability to negotiate best prices
• Ability to gather and analyse data and work with figures.
• Networking skills: Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers
• Very strong IT, numerical and data analysis skills with a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Manage company internal purchasing system in line with company policy, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date
• Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities
• Must be a team player
