Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Salary: Negotiable subject to experience

Office based

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client as a Quantity Surveyor. Experience in structural steel is essential.

Duties:

• Preparation and issuing of interim valuations/applications for payment
• Pricing and agreeing Variations and Compensation Events
• Preparing, negotiating, and agreeing final accounts
• Producing internal cost/value reports for reporting to senior staff and directors on each project
• Steelwork take-offs; measuring and qualifying materials from engineer’s drawings and specifications
• Responsible for logging and recording Contracts and Collateral Warranties

Requirements:

Good IT skills, competent with Microsoft Word and Excel

• Good time management
• Ability to prioritise and able to work under pressure
• Can demonstrate being a self-motivated team player and a good communicator
• A willingness to attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills.
• To have good spoken and written communication skills
• To be methodical, pay attention to detail and be accurate
• To be self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative
• To be willing to accept responsibility for completing designated tasks
