Working between the office and sites

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Site Manager to work with a structural steelwork company.

This role is split between the office and site, as a Site Manager you will coordinate and supervise the site activities on a wide variety of projects.

Responsibilities:

• Working with Project Managers and other company staff to prepare site project related documentation.
• Managing and monitoring the company’s on-site activities throughout installation stages of a project.
• Familiarise themselves with the scope of works, project specifications and industry standards.
• Report work progress against programme and budget matters internally.
• Collaborate with principal contractors, engineers, and other construction specialists.
• Monitor and manage subcontractor activities on site, providing supervision where required.
• Ensure that all deadlines are met on time
• Comply with current Health & Safety legislation and requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations.
• Ensure that all site works are undertaken in accordance with the company’s Quality procedures.

Desired technical skills will include:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the structural steel industry.
• Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
• Logical thinking and creative problem-solving ability.
• Great attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of budget control and commercial matters.
• The ability to work well with others and lead a team.
