Role -Principal Engineer

Salary – £45,000

Our client is seeking to appoint a Principal Engineer to meet the growing demand for their temporary and permanent works design services to support civil engineering construction projects throughout the UK.

If you are looking to advance your professional career or expand on your knowledge from one discipline to multi-disciplines, they can offer exposure to a wide range and variety of projects.

You will be involved all aspects of the business and will be expected to manage schemes from inception to completion.

Essential Criteria

Civil or Structural Engineering degree.

Minimum 5 years design experience

Ability to problem solve from first principles.

Understanding of construction methodology.

Ability to understand and actively apply risk management techniques.

Ability to work well and proactively within a small team of professional engineers.

The role requires someone who can take responsibility for their own work, with a proven track record of successful delivery of design projects from conception through to detailed design and completion of construction.

Desirable Criteria

Chartered status or working towards Chartership

Experience of Network Rail procedures

AutoCAD/Civil3D/MicroStation experience

Experience of DMRB standards and procedures

Temporary works design experience
