• We are looking for an EHORB registered food competent EHO to undertake the inspection of food premises for both food hygiene and food safety in Sunderland.
• It is anticipated there will be:- 154 Cat ‘C’ to be completed prior to the end March 2023 635 Cat ‘D’ to be completed prior to the end March 2023 This is an approximate indication of the number of the inspections, the number may be allocated wholly or separately to contractors.
• All inspections will be unannounced with an expectation that attempts to gain access will be made during opening hours.
• An electronic version of the previous risk rating and inspection proforma will be provided.
• The contractor will visit the premises twice during opening hours before claiming for a void inspection audit.
• Records of inspection will be updated on the back office system – IDOX.
• No enforcement action will be required however reports of major contraventions will be made immediately to the managing officer for subsequent follow up.
• The contractor may be required to revisit the property and provide a statement relating to any visit – this may require subsequent attendance in court.

Qualifications:

• Appropriate degree in Environmental Health.
• EHORB Registration
• FSA food competency
