Grounds Maintenance/Cleansing Team Operative Contract

Responsible for: Assisting and contributing to work carried out by operational teams covering Grounds Maintenance/Cleansing Team carrying out maintenance and cleansing work responsive to community needs.

7:00 – 16:30.

Full Time.

To deliver duties under the direction of the Find and Fix Crew Leader :-

• Have good customer care skills with the ability to communicate effectively

• To have a basic knowledge of the Council’s relevant practices and procedures, and
• ensure that all policies are followed whilst carrying out works, and with particular
• regard to Health & Safety (following safe working practices).

• Planting and maintaining floral displays including the identification of plants

• The post holder is expected to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Hedge cutting
• Rotovate and seed areas
• To remove fly-tipping and identify hazardous materials

• The post holder will be expected Litter picking, emptying litter & dog bins, removal of dead animals

The above is not exhaustive and the post holder will be expected to undertake any duties which may reasonably fall within the level of responsibility and the competence of the post as directed by the Team Leader or Supervisor.
