Property Surveyor Contract

Novax Recruitment are hiring for a Property Surveyor in North Tyneside.
Responsible for:

• Completing surveys to all types of council housing properties in a customer focused manner.
• Provide technical advice to tenants and other staff as required.
• Completion of condition surveys to properties including assessment against Decent Homes and Housing Health and Safety Rating System.
• To assist in the maintenance of a Stock Condition database.

• Completion of condition surveys to properties including assessment against Decent Homes and Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
• To assist in the maintenance of an up to date Stock Condition database.

Requirements:

• A technical knowledge of buildings and the ability to undertake technical inspections and identify remedial actions.
• Understanding of refurbishment and modernisation of social housing dwellings.
• Understanding of the Governments Decent Home Standard.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Homes Fit for Human Habitation Act 2018 and The Landlord & Tenant Act 1985.
• Understanding of relevant building regulations, planning requirements and housing repairs policy and procedures.
