Property Surveyor Contract

Novax recruitment are currently looking for a Property Surveyor to work in North Tyneside.

The post-holder will be responsible for completing surveys to all types of housing properties.

Provide technical advice to tenants and other staff as required.

Duties will include the completion of condition surveys to council house properties including assessment against Decent Homes and Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) on an on-going basis.

A successful candidate will be required to:

• The post-holder will be responsible for completing surveys to all types of housing properties.
• provide technical advice to tenants and other staff as required.
• Duties will include the completion of condition surveys to council house properties including assessment against Decent Homes and Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) on an on-going basis.
• To assist in the maintenance of an up to date Stock Condition database, which is an essential component in ensuring resources are targeted effectively within our housing stock.

A suitable candidate will require a:

• A technical knowledge of buildings and the ability to undertake technical inspections and identify remedial actions.

• Understanding of refurbishment and modernisation of social housing dwellings.

• Knowledge and understanding of the Homes Fit for Human Habitation Act 2018 and The Landlord & Tenant Act 1985.

• Construction related skills and knowledge.
