Electrician

In your new role as an Electrical Engineer, you will undertake routine PPM tasks, planned maintenance in line with scheduled dates along with reactive repairs and Electrical Installation work as required. Be part of a call-out rota after initial period (2 weeks in every 6) and ensure all documentation is completed correctly for all tasks and reactive tasks are reported and recorded on to the CAFM system. You may also be called upon to assist with general building maintenance activities.

Main Duties
* Day-to-day maintenance activities including PPM reactive requests as directed by the help desk or Contract Supervisor.
* Participate in internal & external audits.
* Ensure Risk Assessments are completed & maintained.
* Control measures adopted in compliance with statutory provisions & codes of practice guidance.
* Be on a call out rota to provide the client with full out of hours cover.
* Assist other team members when required or as directed by the Contract Supervisor.
* Ensure that all tasks are completed within SLA.
* Supervision of visiting sub-contractors with regards to standard of work and Health & Safety.
* All duties to be carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time.
* Carry out work in a safe and diligent manner.
* Attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required.
* Undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required, including fabric mechanical tasks.

Qualifications
* City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent Electrical Installations
* 18th edition IEE wiring regulations.
* Experience of maintenance, testing and fault finding on a variety of equipment including Boiler plant, HVAC, pumps, generators, switchgear, wiring and cabling, batteries, small power and lighting.
* Strong Electrical Background.
* Be flexible and carry out duties which are not electrically biased.
* Ability to undertake all facets of maintenance and installation requirements as required within the scope of the contract.
* Be pro-active and can anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults.
* Ability to record work accurately on work sheets and computer-based systems.
* Ability to effectively prioritise own workload.
* Flexibility and adaptability to change / flexible approach to work and working hours (subject to the EU Working Time Directive).
* Pro-active and positive approach to work.
* Must have sound interpersonal skills and pay attention to detail
* Presented in a clean and tidy manner to represent the company, in the most professional manner possible, utilising the uniform and PPE issued.
* Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner.
* Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and its application within role.
* Good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance.
* Able to carry tools and equipment by hand up to 20kg.
* Able to ascend/descend vertical access equipment; able to work at height.
* Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.
* Must be available to join a call out rota.
* Must hold a full UK driving licence.
